The Brief : To create a family home for three generations to enjoy, reflecting their love of a country garden & the surrounding landscape.

Inspired by my client's love of the garden & the beautiful leadlight surrounding the front door, we selected entrance hallway wallpaper that adds a sense of joy & an array of colour upon entering, setting the tone for the rest of the home. We also created an outdoor collection of soft furnishings, suitable for all, including the gorgeous Patch, to extend the living area for all seasons.

Starting with a blank canvas, we crafted spaces brimming with colour, texture, & a sense of fun. By bringing the garden indoors through beautiful wallpapers, varying shades of green, botanical prints, fine linens, & natural sisal floor coverings—finished with flowers picked from the garden—we created a truly happy home. The dining area, featuring orchard-inspired wallpaper, serves as a stunning backdrop to my client's collection of antiques, porcelain, & glassware, adding a touch of charm & elegance to the space.

We designed a restful guest bedroom for friends & family to retreat to, creating a serene space where comfort & relaxation are paramount. This tranquil haven is adorned with soft linens, calming colours, & thoughtful details that make every stay feel like a peaceful escape. Additionally, we created a special bedroom for the grandchildren, filled with family treasures & personal touches that celebrate the family's history. This room is a blend of cherished heirlooms, playful decor, & cosy elements, offering the grandchildren a delightful sanctuary where memories are made.

For the Main Bedroom & Ensuite, I envisioned rooms filled with rich textures, handcrafted pieces, & a sense of natural beauty that celebrates my client's love of the outdoors. Botanical elements seamlessly connect the bedroom & ensuite, enhancing the flow between them. Every detail in the design was chosen to ensure relaxation & to create a true sanctuary amidst a verdant garden.

Michelle developed a concept design to bring the garden of our Somers property into every room in ways we would never have imagined. Her tradespeople are outstanding, the cost & payment plan were clear, & nothing was ever a problem. We love our Somers space & would highly recommend Michelle for a seamless, unique & bespoke design experience.
